Making Sense of My Self
Group Therapy for Adults, Ages 25+
Making Sense of My Self is an 8-week skills and process online group for adults (ages 25+). Members learn and practice skills of Self-understanding and Self-leadership that provide a greater sense of empowerment and capacity in daily life.
Based on a research-validated, holistic model of personal understanding and growth, Making Sense of My Self focuses on the 8 core qualities of the innate, wise "Self" within everyone: Calmness, Curiosity, Clarity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Creativity, and Connectedness. Together, we will explore the Self-leadership model, called Internal Family Systems (IFS), to learn and integrate:
An understanding of the basic IFS model
How to use Parts work in daily life
A felt sense of Self
Basic mindfulness tools
The experience of unblending and validating your parts: Self to part connections
This Group is a great fit for people who identify with any of the following:
Struggle to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mood difficulties
Feel disconnected from others
Desire to understand self and others better
Work to feel empowered and capable in life
The 8 group sessions will include:
Learning the principles of Self-Leadership
Guided meditation practice
Supportive and confidential discussion
Practical skills to help manage moods and stress
When: Tuesdays, Noon - 1:15 PM, starting February 10, 2026
Where: Virtual Group, Online
Who: Led by therapist Rina Phillips, LCSW-C, and Elise Gower, MSW Intern
Cost: $90/session for 8 sessions, payable weekly. $25 discount if paid in full ($695) by the first session.
Group size is limited to eight members.
