Seeing Far Ahead
This past year of the pandemic has been one of forced short-sightedness, and it has been painful. Now we are being pushed back towards a long view, which can be soothing in some ways and also holds its own discomfort. For some it may be a welcome shift, and for others it may cause feelings of stress and anxiety. For all of us, it brings a change in perspective after a year unlike any we have lived through.
Come as you are
How do we access spaciousness within ourselves when life feels like it’s in a tailspin? It helps to start close in, by being with ourselves exactly how we are showing up in that moment. In doing so, we can identify and address what is most acutely asking for our attention.
The utmost care and kindness in all things
This is a stressful time for all of us! I am learning to treat my body, mind and heart - my whole Self - like the finely tuned instrument that it is: so sensitive to stress and change, and also responsive to care and attention.
